Stills to Video

How to create AI video clips from still photos.

Written by Elza Kreslina

Create short AI-generated video clips from your property photos directly in the Video Editor.

Availability: Stills to Video is available for all projects, including older projects. If a project contains Video Editor 2.0 videos, you can still create AI video clips in Video Editor 3.0. Existing Video Editor 2.0 videos remain separate and must be edited in Video Editor 2.0.

Available for GO and PRO Camera users.

What Is Stills to Video?

Stills to Video lets you turn a still property image into a short moving video clip using AI. Instead of using photos only as static images in your listing video, you can generate immersive clips with motion and add them to your video timeline alongside panoramas, cinematic clips, drone clips, and other media.

This is especially useful when a project contains still photos but does not include a full 3D capture or existing video clips.

💡 Tip: Stills to Video is designed to enhance property photos and help make them feel more video-ready. It is not a replacement for a full cinematic walkthrough, virtual tour, or Gaussian Splat video.

How It Works

Stills to Video uses AI to create motion from a single property image.

Choose an available AI video effect, select the photo you want to use, and generate a short clip. Once saved, the clip is added to your Clip Library and can be used like any other clip in the Video Editor.

Creating an AI Video Clip

  1. Open the project you want to edit

  2. Go to the Video Editor and click Create with AI

Alternatively, open Still Photos, select a photo, click the menu button, and choose Create AI Video.

  3. Select an AI video effect

  4. Choose the still photo you want to animate

  5. Add a custom prompt, if needed

  6. Click create: The number of AI credits required appears on the "Create" button

  7. Once generated, the clip is saved in the Clip Library under Clips

Choosing an AI Video Effect

The available effects determine the type of movement or transformation created from your image.

Depending on the effect you choose, you may be able to create motion such as:

  • Smooth Motion: adds gentle cinematic camera movement in the desired direction: Up; Down; Left; Right; Forwards; Backwards

  • Position to Position: moves the camera between two framings

  • Timelapse: transitions between different times of day and seasons

  • Custom: creates a video from your own prompt

Note: Each effect can be further customized with a prompt.

AI Video Clip Troubleshooting

Why is my AI video clip still generating?

AI video generation can take a few minutes. You can continue working elsewhere in the Video Editor while your clip is being created.

Why did my AI video generation fail?

A generation may fail if the image cannot be processed or if the AI service is temporarily unavailable. Try selecting a different image or using the retry option. If the issue continues, try again later.

What happens if I close the editor while my clip is generating?

Your generation will continue in the background. When you reopen the Video Editor, the clip will appear in its latest available state.

Why did my AI video clip preview disappear?

Previews are temporary until they are saved. If a preview expires before you save it, generate the clip again to create a new version.
