Video Editor

Create, customise, and export professional property videos from a single editor

Written by Elza Kreslina

What Is the Video Editor?

The Giraffe360 Video Editor is a unified workspace for building, customising, and exporting property videos. You can start from a professionally designed template or build a video from scratch – mixing and matching different clip types, panoramas, and still photos all in one place.

The editor supports all Giraffe360 video types as clip sources:

  • Cinematic clips – smooth, music-synced camera movements from your Gaussian Splat scans

  • Virtual Drone clips – simulated aerial flythroughs of your property

  • Orbital Drone clips – circular orbit shots around specific rooms

  • Speedramp Drone clips – high-energy flythroughs with dynamic speed changes

  • Panorama clips – 360° panorama stills from your virtual tour

  • Still photos – individual property photos

Note: Cinematic, Drone, Orbital, and Speedramp clips require a LiDAR V2 / PRO Camera with automatic tripod and a minimum of 2 double scans. Panoramas and photos can be used with any scan type.

Getting Started

Opening the Editor

  1. Open the project you want to edit

  2. Click on the “Videos” card

  3. Choose where you want to begin:

Option

When to use it

Click “Create new video”

Opens a blank editor. Build your video from scratch by adding clips, images, and audio in any order.

Edit (on a Giraffe360 template)

Opens the template for editing. Changes are made directly to that template.

Duplicate and Edit (on a Giraffe360 template)

Creates a copy of the template for you to edit. The original template is preserved. Best if you want to keep the Giraffe360 version and build a customised one alongside it.

💡 Tip: Templates come with pre-selected clips and music but have no strict length or content requirements — you can replace, reorder, add, or remove clips freely.

Clips, Images and Clip Management

Adding Content to the Timeline

  • All your available content is organised in the clips panel on the right. You can search or filter by room, floor, building, or video type – for example, searching a room name will show all available content for that space: panoramas, cinematic clips, and drone clips together.

  • Photos (original and AI-enhanced) are available under the Images tab in the panel.

  • To add content, drag a clip or image from the panel and drop it onto the timeline. You can add clips in any order and combine different types freely.

Adjusting a Clip

Once a clip is on the timeline, click on it to access editing options:

  • Adjust clip region and length — a new window opens where you can drag the start and end arrows to select the region. Click Play to preview, then Apply when done

  • Reorder clips — drag clips along the timeline to rearrange them in any order

  • Remove clip — click on the clip and select "Remove Clip" to delete it from the timeline

💡 Tip: There are no strict clip requirements — you can add as many or as few clips as you like, in any combination.

Audio

Background Music

Add royalty-free music from the music library to your video:

  • Drag your chosen track onto the music timeline

  • You can add multiple tracks to the same video

  • Drag the arrows on the music timeline to set the duration of each track

  • Replace or remove tracks at any time

  • Adjust the volume or mute the track by clicking the sound icon

Voiceover

Generate and add voiceovers directly in the editor:

  1. Go to the Voiceover tab

  2. Enter your text and select a voice style (e.g. British or American accent)

  3. Generate the voiceover – it is saved to your voiceover library (Voiceover 1, Voiceover 2, etc.)

  4. Drag the voiceover from the library onto the timeline, placing it under the clip(s) you want it to accompany

Additional voiceover options:

  • A single voiceover can span multiple clips if the length allows

  • Click on a voiceover in the timeline to edit or delete it

  • Voiceovers remain saved in the library even if removed from the timeline

  • Adjust voiceover volume using the sound icon, or mute it from volume settings

Captions

Captions are automatically generated from your voiceover text. Click the CC icon in the toolbar to toggle captions on or off

Overlays

Overlays can be added to any clip in the video — there are no placement restrictions, and overlay duration can extend across multiple clips.

Branding

Add your logo, watermark, or profile image to your video. Toggle branding on or off from the Overlays tab.

Intro Overlay

A branded marketing screen shown at the start of your video, pre-populated with your property details.

  • Click "Edit Overlay" to update the property information

  • Drag the overlay to reposition it on the timeline or extend across multiple clips

  • Can be removed if not needed

Text Overlay

Add on-screen text to any clip for context, captions, or additional branding.

  • Click "Add Overlay" to insert a text overlay

  • Text appears in a fixed design position

  • Line breaks can be added when editing the text

  • Drag the overlay across multiple clips to extend duration

  • Can be removed if not needed

Pack Shot

A branded closing screen — typically showing your agency logo and contact details – displayed at the end of the video.

  • Click "Edit Pack Shot" to customise the content

  • Drag the overlay across multiple clips to extend duration

  • Can be removed if not needed
