Video Speed Control
You can now adjust the playback speed of videos directly in the Video Editor. Speed controls are available for all videos accessible through the Video Editor, including videos from backdated projects.
(Please note that this update is only applicable if you have the video editor add on as part of your subscription. If you would like to find out more about this please contact your account manager)
How to change the video speed
Open the Video Editor and select the clip you want to adjust.
The Edit menu will open automatically.
Find the Speed control and use the slider to speed up or slow down the clip.
Choose the speed that works best for your video.
The speed options available depend on the type of video clip:
🚁 Drone clips
Drone clips are now generated at 60 frames per second (fps), allowing you to create smooth slow-motion footage.
You can choose from:
0.5x – Slow motion
1x – Normal speed
2x – Double speed
3x – Triple speed
Drone clips are the only clips generated at 60 fps. This is because slow-motion footage was specifically requested for drone videos, and the higher frame rate allows us to provide smooth slow-motion playback.
🎥 Orbital drone, panorama, speed ramp drone and cinematic clips
These clips can be sped up, but cannot be slowed down.
Available speeds:
1x – Normal speed
2x – Double speed
3x – Triple speed
✨ AI clips
AI-generated clips currently don't have speed controls.
AI clips are generated at either 24 or 30 fps, depending on the AI service used. As these clips are only 5 seconds long and their generated content can vary, adding speed controls would provide limited benefit at this time.
