What are alternative panoramas
Alternative panoramas, or "alt panoramas," are multiple panoramas captured from the same spot (indoor panoramas only). By default, all panoramas captured will be displayed in the virtual tour. These can be managed within the virtual tour editor to customise which views are shown.
When to use the alternative panoramas option
Use alternative panoramas to show different aspects of a room from the same spot.
Highlight changes in lighting or atmosphere at different times of day. By capturing panoramas at various times, such as morning, afternoon, and evening, you can convey the ambiance under different lighting conditions
Showcase different setups or configurations of the same space. For example, in a hotel room, alternative panoramas could feature various room layouts, such as bed arrangements or table settings, allowing users to envision the versatility of the space
Provide before-and-after views for renovation projects or seasonal décor changes. This can be especially useful for real estate, interior design, or event planning, where viewers might want to see different versions of the same room over time
Note: Alternative panoramas will also be displayed if a scan was captured purely for measurements, for example if a wardrobe/cupboard was opened for a scan. These should be omitted as an alternative panorama using the Virtual Tour editor.
How to manage alternative panoramas
Open the virtual tour editor
In the Indoor tab, you will see any alternative panoramas you have captured
To set the primary panorama, arrange the panoramas in the editor by moving them up or down. Click the “…” button next to a panorama and select "Move up" or "Move down" to adjust its position. The first panorama in the list will be the default view displayed in the tour, typically the first scan taken of the scene.
Show or Hide Alternative Panoramas. Click on the “…” button and select Hide scene. This panorama will no longer appear in the virtual tour.
Hiding All Panoramas: To hide all panoramas (main and alternative) from the virtual tour, you must hide each one individually within the "Hide Panoramas" section.
