How to Edit Measurements for Floor Plans

Make changes to measurements in your floor plans.

Our measurement editor tool is now live - as well as updating our Living Area Calculation options you can also make edits to individual room measurements & choose what to include/exclude from your total area.

Default and International

  1. Click on the menu button on the floor plan card

  2. Click “Edit”

  3. Click the Measurement Editing icon in the top left corner

  4. Click the pencil icon next to the area you want to edit and add the desired measurements

  5. You can also choose to Include a room area; exclude room area but state it separately (for balconies and terraces); Exclude (excluded from all area measurements)

  6. If you want to undo changes, click the revert button next to the edited measurements to restore the original values

  7. Click "Apply" once you’re satisfied with the measurements

  8. Click "Save and Close" to apply the changes

You can edit

Approximate total area

If you edit the approximate total area first and then edit the room areas, the measurement won't update automatically. However, if you revert the approximate total area after editing the room areas, it will update automatically based on the room area edits made. Changing inclusion values for room areas (e.g. changing include to exclude but state separately)will not update the approximate total area calculation if you have manually edited it.

Balconies and terraces

If you edit balconies and terraces area first and then edit the room areas, the measurement won't update automatically. However, if you revert balconies and terraces are after editing the room areas, they will update automatically based on the room area edits made. Changing inclusion values for room areas (e.g. changing exclude but state separately to exclude) will not update the balconies and terraces area calculation if you have manually edited it.

Room areas

Editing room areas will automatically update the living and usable areas, unless you have already edited them.

Changing inclusion values (e.g. changing include to exclude but state separately) for room areas will update the approximate total area and balconies and terraces area automatically, unless you have manually edited them.

Good to know

  • You can only edit area measurements (not dimensions)

  • You can edit room areas on single floor plan files only

  • You can revert all measurement edits by clicking the "Revert" button in the top left corner

  • If you change measurement standards, all manually edited area measurements will be automatically reverted to original ones based on your chosen standard.


WoFIV

  1. Click on the menu button on the floor plan card

  2. Click “Edit"

  3. Click the Measurement Editing icon in the top left corner

  4. Click the pencil icon next to the area you want to edit and add the desired measurements

  5. You can also choose inclusion values – to include room area in living area (by 100%; 50% or 25%) or in usable area, or exclude from all areas. Once chosen, these values will be automatically displayed on the floor plan, even if you manually edit the room area.

  6. If you want to undo changes, click the revert button next to the edited measurements to restore the original values

  7. Click "Apply" once you’re satisfied with the measurements

  8. Click "Save and Close" to apply the changes

Usable area

If you edit the usable area first and then edit the room areas, the usable area measurement won't update automatically. However, if you revert the usable area after editing the room areas, the usable area will update automatically based on the room area edits made.

Changing inclusion values (e.g. changing included in living area to included in usable area) for room areas will not update the total usable area calculation if you have manually edited it.

Room areas

Editing room areas will automatically update the living and usable areas, unless you have already edited them.

Changing inclusion values for room areas (e.g. changing included in living area to included in usable area) will update the living or usable areas automatically, unless you have manually edited and saved those areas separately.

Good to know
