What are subrooms?

  • Subrooms are small, unscanned areas within a floor plan that are added during the floor plan processing.

  • They are typically under 3.5 square meters and their shape can be derived either from histogram data or the surrounding room layout.

  • Subrooms are included in the total area of a floor plan, but by default do not display measurements or titles on the floor plan itself. However, if desired, you can customise your floor plan to include subroom titles, allowing these smaller spaces to be shown with the same level of detail as the main rooms.

How to display subrooms on the floor plan

  1. Open the floor plan editor

  2. Click on the “Rooms” section

  3. At the end of the main room list you’ll see “Subrooms” (if applicable)

  4. Click on the “Subrooms” to open the dropdown menu

All subrooms will be displayed there.

  5. Click the eye icon next to the subroom you want to display on the floor plan

  6. Click the pencil icon next to the subroom to change the subroom name. The room name will be displayed on the floor plan

  7. Change the room colour if needed

  3. Default and International Measurement standards: You can choose to Include a room area; exclude room area but state it separately (for balconies and terraces); Exclude (excluded from all area measurements)

    OR

WOFIV: You can choose inclusion values – to include room area in living area (by 100%; 50% or 25%) or in usable area, or exclude from all areas. Once chosen, these values will be automatically displayed on the floor plan, even if you manually edit the room area.
