Colour Profile Generator

Create a personalised Colour Profile to give a consistent look that matches your own visual style. The Colour Profile Generator lets you create a profile in three ways: from reference photos, using an AI description or a .cube file.

What is the Colour Profile Generator?

The Colour Profile Generator gives you greater control over the look and feel of your Giraffe360 photography.

Instead of manually recreating the same edits across individual images, you can generate a Colour Profile that reflects your preferred photography style and apply it consistently to your photos.

You can use the Colour Profile Generator to:

  • Match your existing photography style

  • Keep Giraffe360 photos consistent with your other marketing assets

  • Create a more distinctive visual identity

  • Reduce the need for manual image-by-image adjustments

How to use the Colour Profile Generator

  1. Open a project in Content Studio.

  2. Open a photo in the Photo Editor by clicking Edit from the three-dot menu on the still image.

  3. Open the Adjustments tab.

  4. Open the Colour Profile selector.

  5. Select Create New.

  6. Choose one of the three Colour Profile Generator options:

    • Reference Photos

    • AI Description

    • Upload a .cube LUT

  7. Review the generated Colour Profile using the preview images.

  8. Compare the result with the original images.

  9. Adjust the Intensity of the Colour Profile if needed.

  10. Give your profile a name and save it to Custom Colour Profiles.

  11. Apply the profile to the selected photo, all photos, or relevant indoor/outdoor images.

Generate a Colour Profile from Reference Photos

If you already have a photography style you want to replicate, you can use your own photos as references.

Upload between 1 and 20 reference photos that represent the look you want to create.

For the best results, use a diverse selection of images with different:

  • Scenes

  • Lighting conditions

  • Colors

Using a wider range of reference photos helps the Colour Profile Generator create a profile that better represents your overall visual style.

To generate a profile from photos

  1. Select Create New from the Colour Profile selector.

  2. Choose Reference Photos.

  3. Upload your reference images by dragging and dropping them into the upload area or using the file picker.

  4. You can upload up to 20 images.

  5. Remove individual images if you want to change your selection before generating the profile.

  6. Select the option to generate your Colour Profile.

  7. Review the result using the preview images.

  8. Compare the processed images with the original versions.

  9. Save the profile to Custom Colour Profiles or create another profile.

Supported file formats: JPEG/JPG, WEBP and PNG.

Generate a Colour Profile using AI

You can describe the look you want in plain language and use AI to generate a Colour Profile.

You can describe things such as:

  • Mood

  • Color tones

  • Contrast

  • Highlights and shadows

  • Overall photography style

For example:

Warm golden hour, lifted shadows, muted greens.

To generate a profile with AI

  1. Select Create New from the Colour Profile selector.

  2. Choose AI Description.

  3. Describe the look you want in the text field.

  4. Generate your Colour Profile.

  5. Review the result across the preview images.

  6. Compare the processed images with the originals.

  7. If you're not happy with the result, refine your description and generate another variation.

  8. Select the variation you prefer.

  9. Save it to Custom Colour Profiles.

You can continue refining your description to create different variations until you find a look that works for you.

Upload an existing .cube LUT

If you already use a Colour Profile or LUT created in another editing application, you can upload it directly to Content Studio.

To upload a LUT

  1. Select Create New from the Colour Profile selector.

  2. Choose Upload Your Own Colour Profile File.

  3. Upload your .cube file using drag and drop or the file picker.

  4. Review the Colour Profile using the preview images.

  5. Compare the result with the original images.

  6. Save the profile to Custom Colour Profiles.

File requirements:

  • File format: .cube

  • Maximum file size: 5 MB

  • One LUT can be uploaded per session. Uploading another file replaces the previous one.

Preview and adjust your Colour Profile

Before saving a Colour Profile, you can preview how it looks across a selection of images.

Use the before-and-after comparison to see the difference between the original, unprocessed image and the version with your Colour Profile applied.

You can also use the Intensity slider to control how strongly the Colour Profile is applied.

Once you're happy with the result, save it to Custom Colour Profiles for future use.

Apply a Colour Profile

Once saved, your Colour Profiles can be applied to your images in the Photo Editor.

Depending on your workflow, you can apply a profile to:

  • The selected photo

  • All photos

  • All indoor photos

  • All outdoor photos

Existing options such as Copy/Paste edits and Apply to All remain available for Colour Profiles.

Use Colour Profiles with Presets

Colour Profile Generator functionality is also available when working with Still Presets.

This means you can create and save a personalised look and use it as part of your wider photo processing workflow.

Colour Profiles and merged projects

If two projects which use different colour profiles are merged each image’s individual colour profile settings are preserved

Using Colour Profiles in the Panorama Editor

Colour Profiles created and saved in the Still Editor are also available in the Panorama Editor under Custom Colour Profiles.

However, new Colour Profiles cannot currently created directly from the Panorama Editor.

The three Colour Profile Generator options Reference Photos, AI Description and .cube LUT upload are available when creating Colour Profiles in the Still Editor.
