How Does ScanView Work?
Using ScanView is simple and intuitive. Here’s what to expect:
1. Capturing the Scan
Pressing the Scan button will open the ScanView menu.
Press Start Scan and step out of the room while the camera captures the environment
Wait for the scan to complete
2. Reviewing the Scan
The scan’s position is automatically calculated based on tracking. A real-time map helps visualise progress and ensures complete coverage.
If the positioning isn’t accurate, you can manually adjust the alignment:
Select the scan number and choose Change location to move scan to a different floor
Select the scan number and choose Realign Scan and adjust positioning using gesture controls. Use visual clues (e.g., walls, furniture) to guide precise alignment. Ideal precision: ±0.3m, ±25° for the best results.
Well-aligned scans improve post-processing accuracy and project turnover time
Once satisfied with the scan placement, continue to the next scan location.
Known Limitations
Large open spaces (e.g., outdoor or industrial areas) may affect automatic tracking.
Projects exceeding 60 scans may experience slower processing.
