Giraffe360 cameras do not currently support WPA3-only Wi-Fi networks. If your router is set to WPA3-only mode, your camera may be unable to connect to the internet.
To ensure your Giraffe360 camera connects successfully, you will need to adjust your Wi-Fi settings to either:
WPA2 (also known as WPA2-PSK or WPA2-Personal)
Dual WPA3/WPA2 mode (if your router supports it)
Working with Your IT Team
If you are using a managed network or are unsure how to adjust your Wi-Fi settings, your IT team may be able to assist. These changes can typically be handled remotely, so it is worth reaching out to them for support.
If you are comfortable changing the settings yourself, this should be relatively simple:
How to Change Your Wi-Fi Security Settings
The steps to adjust your Wi-Fi security settings vary depending on your router model. Below are general instructions:
1. Log in to Your Router
Connect to your Wi-Fi network.
Open a web browser and enter your router's IP address (commonly
192.168.1.1
or192.168.0.1
).Log in using your administrator credentials (these are usually found on the back of your router or in your router’s manual).
2. Locate the Wi-Fi Security Settings
Navigate to the Wireless Settings or Wi-Fi Settings section.
Look for Security Mode or Authentication Type.
3. Change to WPA2 or Dual WPA3/WPA2
If your router supports both WPA3 and WPA2 (Mixed Mode), select this option.
If Mixed Mode is not available, switch to WPA2-PSK (AES).
Save the changes and restart your router if prompted.
4. Reconnect Your Giraffe360 Camera
Once you’ve updated your Wi-Fi settings:
Reboot your Giraffe360 camera.
Connect it to your updated Wi-Fi network.
